The Club had yet another huge entry for the June meeing, despite the weather forecast!
Yes, it rained! Started Friday afternoon and didn't stop until Sunday morning. So, practice and first heats on Sunday were wet and then it quickly dried to give some fantastic racing conditions.
The results are on www.karting.co.uk/results and the Championship tables have been provisionally updated in the Results section.
The Race Report is in the Results section.
VERY BUSY MAY MEETING!
The Club enjoyed a fantastic weekend on 2/3 May. Over 170 entries had good weather, a great atmosphere and lots of action-packed racing. Despite a couple of stoppages, which thankfully did not result in serious injuries, the meeting finished on time.

SITE CONDITIONS
Please note that the heavy snow and frost has taken its toll on the access road and, although the MoD have promised to resurface it, this will not be done in the short term. Please be aware of the 20mph site speed limit!
Please also note that most pit bays have now been sold. As there is plenty of other space available, please do not park in numbered bays, unless you have reserved them.
ANNUAL TROPHY PRESENTATION DINNER
The Annual Dinner and Trophy Presentation took place on Saturday 24 January at the Thistle Hotel, Cheltenham.
Congratulations to all our trophy winners. KART MANIA
The Club had a stand at Kart Mania on 29/30 November and had an excellent show. Thanks to everyone who visited us. Over 40 new memberships were signed up!
LETTER TO CLUB MEMBERS
4th November 2008
Dear Rissy Member,
I write to you on behalf of the Committee to inform you of our progress with our landlords for the usage of the circuit. We thought our battles had been won earlier this year when we achieved the Certificate of Lawful Use that proved we had been using the site since 1963, but took a terrible blow when our landlords rejected our request to use the circuit in October and November.
As you are fully aware we have been battling for over 3 years now to secure, both dates and usage of the circuit, which has been extremely frustrating and a lot of hard work, but we as a committee thought it worth fighting for.
Now for the brilliant news.It is with great pleasure that I can write to you and confirm that we have now secured both 18 days usage from our Landlords and the 18 days Certificate of Lawful Use, which now means we are racing from March through to November.
The Committee are extremely excited with the news, and now feel they can plan for the future and offer security and stability for you the driver.
Your support during 2008 has been extremely valued, so a very big thank you from everyone on the Committee, we hope to see you again next year.
Yours faithfully
Debbie Mayow Club Secretary
GENERAL NEWS Saturday practice costs £25 for members and £30 for non-members. Good value for 7 or 8 sessions!
Race Entries are £45 for members and £55 for non-members (excluding Midland Champs). Starting Karting packs and ARKS Tests are available through the Club.
The Club would particularly like to thank all marshalls and officials who often braced attrocious conditions to allow practice and racing to take place. Indeed, without the help of these volunteers throughout the season, racing would not take place at all! If anyone is interested in marshalling for the new season, please contact the Club Secretary (details on Contacts page).
PIT SPACES
A few pit spaces are still available to book for the season. In addition, any spare reserved spaces can be booked for the weekend. The pit space booking form and contact details are in the Club Forms section, or phone Pete Klaassen on 01926 850397 .
