AGM

The Rissington Kart Club AGM was held on Wednesday 7 December at 8.00pm at The Highwayman Inn at Syde, near Cirencester. Thank you to all who attended.

Chairman, Mick Chalmers announced that a new 3-year lease had been signed with Defence Estates and this would allow some extra practice and training days in the future.

NOVEMBER MEETING

What fantastic weather again! Dry all weekend - but a cold wind!

There was also some fantastic racing! A Race Report is in the Last Meeting Results section and the final Championship points (including dropped scores) are now posted in the Results section.

Full results for the meeting are on www.karting.co.uk/results .

Congratulations to the 5 drivers who beat or equalled the lap records during this meeting. These are shown in the Results section.

MIDLAND CHAMPS

The Midland Championships on 3/4 September was very successful and attracted a bumper entry. It was fine all day Saturday and after light rain Sunday morning, which affected the optional practice sessions and the first few heats of the day, it was fine again, especially for the Finals.

There were lots of prizes and full podium presentations for each class, with the trophies presented by European Superkart Champion Gavin Bennett and MSA British Champion Jason Dredge. They also did some awesome demonstration laps during the lunch break.

A good turnout of Historic Karts also entertained the huge crowd with demonstration runs on both Saturday and Sunday.

Full results for the meeting are on www.karting.co.uk/results .
We have kindly been given permission by Karting Magazine to publish Graham Smith's Race Report and this is now in the Last Meeting Results section. We hope to add some photos in the next few days and also a downloadable version of the report.
Club Championship Points are updated in the Results section.

AUGUST MEETING

There were storm clouds all around, particularly on Sunday, but Rissington stayed mostly dry! Just a couple of light showers got people worried.

There was also some excellent racing! Entries in most classes were good and the event was boosted by the visiting 210 Challenge.

The Race Report and Championship Points are in the Results section.

Full results for the meeting are on www.karting.co.uk/results .

JULY MEETING

What a glorious weekend! No wind, quite a lot of sunshine and very warm.

There was also some excellent karting! Entries in most classes were good and the event was boosted by the hosting of the RAF Motor Sports Association Championships.

The Race Report and Championship Points are now in the Results section.

Congratulations to Alex McRoberts for breaking the Cadet lap record.

Full results for the meeting are on www.karting.co.uk/results .

JUNE MEETING

We had a very successful meeting on 5 June. There was one shower on Saturday, but it stayed dry on Sunday and we enjoyed some brilliant racing!

The Race Report and Championship Points are in the Results section.

Full results for the meeting are on  www.karting.co.uk/results .

MAY MEETING

The numbers were not quite as good for the 01 May meeting, probably due to the long Bank Holiday weekend and the fact that there a number of other meetings being held that weekend.

However, what it lacked in quantity, it made up for in quality!

The Race Report is in the 'Last Meeting Results' section and a downloadable copy is in the 'Results Archive' section. The updated Championship Tables are also in the 'Results' section. Results are also up on UK Karting. Go to www.karting.co.uk/results .

A Lap Record was broken this weekend in Minimax. Congratulations to Ben Jenkins-Davies!

APRIL MEETING

The April meeting had an excellent entry, boosted by the visiting Super 4 Series. Shame about the showers on Sunday, but they certainly livened up the racing!

The new timing system worked well and we are waiting for the results to be posted on UK Karting. Go to www.karting.co.uk/results .

The April Race Report is now in the Results section and also, available for download in the Results Archive section.
