PROBLEM WITH SPREADSHEET

We are currently having a problem with the Championship Points spreadsheet - it may not open correctly!

We are working on it and will hopefully get it resolved soon.

GOOD WEATHER AND GOOD RACING

It was gorgeous up at Rissy last weekend (at least until we were packing up!) and everyone enjoyed some great racing.

The race report is now in the Results section, results are on Karting UK and Championship Tables have now been checked and are in the Results section.

RAF CHAMPS THIS WEEKEND

In addition to our normal Club Meeting this weekend, the Club will be hosting the RAF's Championships. The RAF competitors will race in separate races and will have an endurance event on Saturday evening.
A reserved pit area will be roped off for the RAF.

If anyone would like a reserved pit space this weekend, please contact Piet Klaassen (Club Forms page for pits map).

Let's keep our fingers crossed for the weather!

IT NEARLY STAYED DRY AND WARM!

Saturday was beautiful for testing. Sunday always had the threat of rain and a brief heavy shower fell just before the Finals. However, it had dried out for the later classes, only to rain again as we were packing up!

The Race Report and Championship points are now on the Results page and full results are on Karting UK.

We again had the new photographer at the meeting and he has lots of shots available on his web site. Go to www.simoncoatesphotography.co.uk for all the previews (we will add this to the Links page at the next update).

GOSH, THAT WIND WAS COLD!

I know that this is a repeat of last month's headline, but it was true again! After the beautiful day on Saturday, when we were out in t-shirts, the heavy overnight rain brought a change back to winter conditions! Nevertheless, the track dried quickly and many of the first heats were on slick tyres.

A massive entry of 170 drivers, boosted partly by the visiting NKF round, enjoyed some excellent racing.

A Race Report and the updated Championship tables are now in the Results section. Full results are on
www.karting.co.uk .

We had a new photographer at the meeting and he has lots of shots available on his web site. Go to
www.simoncoatesphotography.co.uk for all the previews.

GOSH, THAT WIND WAS COLD!

The weather played its part last weekend! Heavy rain on Saturday afternoon dampened a few spirits, but they woke on Sunday to blue skies. However, there was a brisk North-Easterly wind, which was bitter!

Good racing for all classes and an excellent number of spectators.

The race report and Championship points have been updated on the Results page. Also, some lap records have been broken at the first two meetings and these are now also on the Results page. Congratulations to our new Record Holders.

EXCELLENT FIRST MEETING OF 2010

The first meeting on 6 / 7 March ran extremely well with 137 entries and, although we had brilliant sunshine on Sunday, it was very cold
.

Despite frozen water pipes in the morning (it had been Minus 7 overnight!), everything eventually functioned well.

Thanks to all our Officials and volunteers for braving the cold.
Our commiserations and thanks go to the Marshal who was injured in a very unusual accident. We are pleased to hear that the injuries are not serious and that all the safety equipment did its job.

The race report and Championship Points are now in the Results section (please note that we have just noticed that it still says 2009 Championships - this will be changed shortly).

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The AGM of the Club was held on Sunday 13 December at the Highwayman Inn, Syde, Gloucestershire. The Committee and Officers have been re-elected and plans are now in place for a bumper 2010.

KART MANIA SHOW

The Club had a very successful weekend at the Kart Mania Show on 28/29 November. There was lots of new interest, new memberships and many returning old friends.

NEW EMAIL ADDRESS

The Club has now set up a new email address for the Competition / Membership Secretary on
compsec@rissykartclub.com .
Please use this for any entry / membership enquiries or, alternatively, use the fax / ansaphone number on the Contacts page and Entry Forms and leave a clear message.

GENERAL NEWS

Saturday practice costs £30 for members and £40 for non-members. Good value for 7 or 8 sessions! Practice starts at 10.00am and runs until at least 5.00pm (light permitting).

Race Entries are £45 for members and £55 for non-members (excluding Midland Champs).

Starting Karting packs and ARKS Tests are available through the Club.

The Club would particularly like to thank all marshalls and officials who often braced attrocious conditions to allow practice and racing to take place. Indeed, without the help of these volunteers throughout the season, racing would not take place at all! If anyone is interested in marshalling for the new season, please contact the Club Secretary (details on Contacts page).

PIT SPACES

Please also note that many pit bays have now been sold. As there is plenty of other space available, please do not park in numbered bays, unless you have reserved them.

A few pit spaces can be booked for the weekend. Phone Piet Klaassen on 01926 850397 .
